I wrote this poem in August 2019 at the height of the climate change protests. I have just logged into my blog for the first time since then and found it sitting in my drafts, so thought I may as well post it.

A young girl tries to change the world
To stop the climate change spread
And for this an angry white man
Wishes that she was dead
His friends are scared for their fortunes
He doesn't care for a future that's bright
He'll fund a campaign of hatred
He's old, angry and white
